If we could see the sun and feel a lack of gravity at the same time, wouldn`t this mean that it in principle is possible to send a signal with a speed greater than light? A body could be moved in a certain way in one point of space and this motion could then instantanious be detected far away. If gravity travels instantanious, do we then see the sun in the same place as we detect its gravity? And if we see different things, whether we detect a body with light or by its gravity, wouldn`t it be possible to send a signal from inside a black hole? Couldn`t this be done by changing the mass distribution of a probe sent into the black hole, before it hits the singularity or whatever there is inside the black hole? |
