Cindy, all our eyes can see is light. Our brains then interpret this light via stereoscopic vision, shape recognition, color etc as the object itself. So we see the light and our brain tells us what that light represents.

"If you can't measure it, then I can't answer it."

What an incredibly stupid statement in light of the questioners obvious state knowledge.
