You have some interesting observations, but how would you control a matter/anti-matter chain reaction? Theoretically such an event results in the atoms of both materials being annihalated, along with a few parsecs of the surrounding universe. New research shows that a that a recently discovered particle accelerates beyond the speed of light(!) and can just barely be registered with the proper equipment. If this new particle could be harnessed, time travel would not be a problem.....or would it? The old paradox of someone travelling back to Ford's theater and preventing John Wilkes Booth from killing Lincoln is just the beginning. Imagine reshaping history to your liking by introducing your own system of government and values on an ignorant populace of earth. Would your future be altered? Would you wink out of existence or be torn between two realities? The questions are endless.
