: I don't know why this posted further down in the first try, but here it is again. : If a black hole is a large enough mass to pull other mass even light, then were would it in theory suck in from. In all these shows it is shown almost as 2 dimensional, but wouldn't it in theory be a ball that draws in matter all the way around it, on all sides and angles.so rather than matter entering the O it just gets pulled towards the point. Black holes are spherical in shape. I am not sure what your question is, but on paper, spheres look like circles.
