Now I see what you think light is...you're describing the aether. An invisible medium that pervades the universe and transmits light. You say light particles stand still while radiation vibrates through them across the universe much like sound. But the one flaw in this argument is that we should be able to find our speed with respect to the aether. How fast do we (the Earth) travel through it? I think Michelson and Morely already answered that.
