: Please show me how Schwarzschild derived Rs=2GM/c^2. Thank you. Here's a hint: Calculate the escape velocity for Earth (25000 mph). Now, substitute the speed of light for 25000 mph, and calculate the mass needed to make that happen at the Earth's surface. You have, in effect "made" a schwartzchild radius. Now you have the info needed to do the derivation. |
