: stephen hawking tonight had good show on anti-matter.....apparently when matter and antimatter meet, they destroy one another and result in tremendous release of energy.....and the process in reverse is probably what occurred in big bang where a tremendous release of energy resulted in the formation of matter and antimatter.....matter won out over antimatter and we have the universe as we know it today
