I need to know the mass of a one-mile diameter cometary nucleus. This is for a SF novel. Thanks! Lemme guess, its to make a mini-Black Hole with. I can't find any data on Cometary masses around the web. Problem is that to measure the mass you more data than just the orbital parameters. Not enough is known about comets to estimate mass I suspect. Try the NASA Ephemerides generator. This gives Halleys diameter at 5.62 Km, more than a mile, but no mass for it. Also ty, NASA Comet Observation Home Page or, Gary Kronks Page. This is a good one. Yelmalio |
