The singularity theory will satisfy the churches but will it satisfy the questions that we pose ourselves. At which point does the universe become void of all laws of physics...... If the singularity is this point why does it behave this way ? And at what stage does the energy required to produce all matter from the singularity to now run out, thus collapsing the universe ? And what then ? We are back to the singularity, at a point waiting for the creation of the universe to occur again ?
