: What would you need to do to create one?? Creating a man made black hole could probably be best described as impossible. It would require 'packing' over 10^36 protons into an area occupied by a single proton. Statistically, this was most likely possible shortly after the big bang when matter was tremendously dense. There are experiments currently underway to produce quark gluoun material that exhibits this bing bang density. CERN's supercollider can collide nuclei together reaching temperatures in excess of 30 million billion degrees centigrade. This is sufficient to fuse neutrons and protons togethers. These are the potential conditions to create a black hole, but a combination of statistics and extremely small volumes currently involved make this type of black hole generation unlikely. |
