Strange as it may seem, the Schwartschield black hole is a vacuum field solution. Mass or its center of momentum remote frame energy in this case is a descriptor of the space-time geometry; not a descriptor of anything separate contained within it. So there need not be any physical singularity or anything else "inside" it at all.
