Sorry but that is incorrect. From your own post: "The escapee becomes real and can now be detected by distant observers." If the virtual particle pair is forced apart by the holes gravitational gradient enough energy is imparted to make it real. This energy is derived from the holes energy and it loses mass. It's actually much more complicated than this, but it will have to do for now. If you want more info let me know. |
