: And if I last remember, E=MC^2 That's only correct in an objects rest frame. I you look at the energy momentum four vector, you will see that, universally mass cannot be converted to energy. Radiation with equal and opposite momentum has rest mass, so all you have done is change one form of energy into another. Binding energy into radiant energy.
