: : i need to get some hot information on blackholes for a sciencefair project.can you guys give me some info

: A black hole is when a star collapses to where all the mass of a star forms a sort of pocket in space. kind of like this:

: event horizon : ___________________ _/_________________ : / : )( < lip : / : ( ) : XX/ < stellar mass : VV : : All the mass from a star collapses into the core and causes a gravitational force so great not even radiation can escape. If you try to imagine a bunch of people on a giant rubber sheet, like a trampoline, the more poeple come to the middle, the more it attracts, eventually, it would fold onto itself and form a lip like pictured where nothing is strong enough to escape.
