Both particles are identical except for their charge. When they meet they annihilate and produce an amount of energy that is equivalent to their rest mass plus any kinetic energy they possessed. There are a few exceptions such as the photon which is it's own antiparticle. I am also ignoring the fact that universally the momentum of this energy is 0 and therefore has a rest mass.
