Contradictions? = Problem

I would appreciate if someone could explain this problem.

1) I undestand that c is maximum speed and it's a constant value. If this is true, one problem appears (in my reasoning).

2) At early stages of our universe creation, matter was expanding at enormous speed, a speed that exceedes the speed of light. Now, if this were true, then it would come into a contradiction with the constancy of the lightspeed. In other words, to prevent contradiction, two conditions must be made: a) Either c isn't max speed b) Or the speed of light isn't constant (i.e. c is decreasing)

Of course, it would be a sin to doubt the Einstein's relativity, so first condition drops out.

That leaves us with condition b: c isn't constant. Now, what do I mean when I say such a thing? I'll try to explain. The clearness of logical reasoning tells me that if the universe were expanding (at early stages) faster than the present speed of light, then the speed of light must be decreasing as the universe ages. This brings me to my first question/possibility which is: Is it logical that the lightspeed was infinite when universe was a singularity, and from that point is decreasing?

If the answer is negative I must go on...

The negative answer to my last question tells me that I have to find another condition to avoid contradiction between claims 1 and 2.

The next condition is that Big Bang created matter within the spacetime. Then speed of matter was slower than lightspeed, but spacetime was faster. True or false?

Could someone please set my mind at ease by answering or at least trying to answer this problem of mine.

Thanks.
