Science=Religion, fear not. Your question is not as unworthy as one may think; it is actually the greatest question science had faced--- QUANTUM GRAVITY - That is. A simple solution is given by the General Theory of Relativity: Gravity is GEOMETRY-- Thus, space- time is curved by & through Gravity. ergo de facto-- No Quatization of Gravity; You may wonder what quantum mechanics has to say about. not much, really; yet, the best minds of physics are currently fronting this enigma.

p.s. the article you have read war referring to a gravitational effect caused by cosmic inflation-- that is- cosmos will not remain constant forever; as for now-- c is, indeed, a constant (=299,792.458 km/sec). light vs. gravity quantum mechanics vs. GTR Bohr vs. Einstein
