: O.K. everyone, just a minute. Can someone explain to me if our Universe consists of Space ? Or actually the Big Bang comes with a Space. : Hopefully all of you know what 'Space' I'm talking about. Well my own definition would be the big dark infinite space out there which encloses all matters in our universe. : Can someone care to explain, pls?

I must warn you that this is not an expert typing, but I could tell you what I think.

I think that Big bang "brought" space. That's because matter was "traveling faster than light" at the creation of the universe. As you know matter can't travel faster than light(it can't even travel at the speed of light), but space can.

Light travels at speed of light relatively to -space. We haven't yet learned how to manipulate (move) space, so we are saying that light speed is the same in all of the movement frames(Einstein). That's speed of light relative to spacetime. So why couldn't spacetime move faster. It can and it did.

So there is no doubt that Big bang did not occured within the spacetime, but it brought spacetime with it. Big bang is a "explosion" of spacetime with matter.

I Hope I helped.

Tomislav
