: If anyone has any opion on whether or not black holes : could be a threat to the earth, or if you know where : I could find more information on the subject: : Please E-mail me at Mercedes 83! : Thanx!! : Mercedes - a black hole could be a threat to the Earth, provided it is big enough and close enough. We may or may not detect it, depending on it's path and size and gravitational effects on other observable bodies. But consider this - there are a lot more asteroids and comets than there are black holes, and these have yet to annihilate life on Earth. Your chances of getting nailed by a black hole are probably less than your chances of living a thousand years. |
