there seems to be a bit of confusion with the whole mirror thing...
when this subject of wormholes was bought up, with the astronaut and his random wife, rowanda said that photons experiance this type of time-lag or lack of time because they are going at the speed of light. the mirror was bought up to make more of a simlarity between the astronaut and the photon. the mirror, however, does not affect the main statement that time does not affect photons.
anyway, i find an equal fault with your astronaut; WHY THE HECK WOULD SOMEBODY WITH A WIFE ORBIT A NEUTRON STAR?!? and why would the astronaut come back (im assuming that the astronaut had enough brain cells to research this topic) if the earth would be many years into the future, and if the wife was so attached, why did she let him go in the first place? im sure the husband would have told her of something so large. and the astronaut stays with the star for a few months and decides to come back? whats WITH that? and how does the wife know how long to stay with her neutron star before getting back to earth? how do these people know that earth hasnt been destroyed by some freak accident? and etc.
if you would like to be so literal, check yours first please.
