The fact that I said the words "How can someone so smart..." should have summed up the fact that I felt he was making a good point, but if he was so smart, why doesn't he use correct grammar?

I do not exist to correct people, but I find that arguing symantics helps us all to formulate thoughts and present what we think in a clearer manner. After all, how credible is someone who says "Libary" instead of "Library," or "Nucular" instead of "Nuclear"? I think once you start mis-spelling and mis-pronouncing words (aside from an accidental typo or a toung-tied moment), the listening party's ability to take you seriously starts to diminish. I felt that the post had credibility in content, but you have to admit that it's difficult to take somone seriously when they don't speak or write correctly.

I also never meant to imply that I was smarter than somone else. I don't know the person. He could possibly be the next Fermi for all I know, but my point, as I am painstakingly trying to illustrate here, was just that someone who is "one of the smarter members of this forum" should know how to spell a simple word such as "many"

Sorry it took too long to respond - this board moves a bit slowly, so I only really check it when I remember to.
