No one person is going to be responsible for the unification of physics. There are just too many things to take into account. And even if there were only one person responsible for the final theory, it wouldn't be something you could do without physics and math training (something many of the people on this board are lacking). I'm in the top ranks of the system and I know that I'll ever be in a position to make the final theory all by myself. If you're question had been along the lines of "Will somebody on this board make a significant contribution to physics?", I would acknowledge the possibility. Given your weak physics background, I don't think your in a position to judge whether I'm being a pessimist or just a realist.
