is that the galaxy charts are so far, based upon very narrow slices, of very small angles.

To generalize from this is like suggesting (as they do) that the Hubble Deep Field, is representative of the whole sky, when actually it is a very tiny portion.

I thought scientists were supposed to be cautious about such things.

As far as being on a mission from the Great Language Removed in the Sky, nothing could be farther from the truth.
