Where should I start?

Gravity doesn't go faster than light. Imagine yourself at one of those tracks were people run around. If you started on one side and ran around to the other while I walked across the grass in the middle, I would beat you to the finish line even though you moved much faster. The same relationship exists between light(photons) and gravity(gravitons). Gravity bends space-time and light has to take the now longer road.

To reach the speed of light you would need infinite energy which we couldn't harvest from all the energy in the universe.
