We know how the universe started, and we know the rules to how matter interacts with itself as well as with energy are the laws of physics. But what created the laws of physics?
If you believe the laws of physics didn't exist until the creation of our universe, then the laws wouldn't be laws-only properties of matter and energy.
The proverbial question: What came first the chicken or the egg?
