Quibbling over words is what this thread
was about, in part.
I might have said "Assumptions"
may be previously proven facts.
There's no need to assume the
conditions of a thought experiment...
you pose them, not assume them.

Assumptions bring to mind
the reasoning so other thinkers don't
have to reinvent the wheel.
Soem of this reasoning seems self-evident
but what is self-evident to you might
have been challenged and overturned by
me...or vice versa...and might be completely
unknown to the fans of a few
choice pro football teams which are the
nemisis of our own favorite...but we don't
watch that much do we?
Well, gotta put Bonzo to bed again,
no wait, that's someone else's schtick.
