The difference between an uncut apple pie
and one which has been cut in three pieces,
removing some amount on the blade, which we
do not know to me 0 or merely almost 0
depends on whether that bothers anyone.

The number argument alone has no consequence
unless the matter unit of measure has consequence... and having 0 consequence means 0

If, for example there were 1.333 x 10^20 atoms
of a toxic substance in a tank, it would not matter if one atom leaked out but was not enough to cause a toxic problem.
