Greetings. I believe it was Kheyfets and Miller at the BPP Workshop who had calculated that an Alcubierre warp would require a 10^19 tesla magnetic field in GR. The Krasnikov tube requires 10^5 galactic masses worth of energy. To place this in perspective, EM fields of 10^10 tesla per second rate-of=increase have been measured in the infant fireball of an H bomb explosion, one second of which still leaves us at only one billionth that needed to warp spacetime with EM. Does Mr. Nasty have any idea how to generate such enormous energies or can we look to non-EM matter/spacetime interaction mechanisms for just a little while in this meaningless discussion milieu?
