So a two dimensional arrangement of matter is incapable of producing blackholes?? What about producing an object composed completely of neutrons; sort of like a two dimensional neutron star.....? What is the upper limit......speaking in terms of maximum escape velocity, that can be produced? Is it anywhere near the speed of light, or far from it? Why doesn't the matter start out as a disc and then naturaly arrange itself into a sphere due to pressures, and then become a blackhole? Is there anything that can be created in four dimensions but not three....?

My last question is.......has this been proven with Einstein's GR theory, or is it based on one of the string theories.....? A reply to any one of these would be appreciated....

Thanx,
Mark
