with your terminology......"Pure energy" is a valid term.

Infinitely divisible energy is what you may have meant to say. Light is pure energy, as it has no rest mass. Kinetic energy is pure energy...it too has zero rest mass. Pure energy exists, it just comes in "lumps".

The statement that it is believed that all energy is quantized is valid however. I think that's what you meant, correct?
