What you've stated is not going to overthrow anything......It would have been common knowledge.

We all know that light travels with fixed velocity c, therefore by the time it reaches an observer trillions of miles away, the pulsar has made quite a few rotations. What you stated would be a common sense conception of the configuration of light emanating outward from ANY rotating source; including light houses. It's just that light houses rotate to slowly and are too close-up for any noticable spiral.
