As long as it accumulates stuff, it will continue to grow. Currently astronomers believe that there are enormous (millions or billions of solar masses) at the center of most galaxies.

On the other hand, very small black holes (according to theory) will slowly loss mass. See Hawking's book for a good description of black holes, including evaporation.
