Even any single bit of information CAN NOT be sent in the past (or to the future), because it can be a bit to kill you (To the past. To the future it can be a bit ensuring that something goes certain way, but then change/reverse this in a meantime - before the future arrives).

Also, think about WHERE IN SPACE you happen to arrive after travelling back (or forward), say, 15 years? Earth is not there, Sun neither, Milky Way neither. And THERE is undefined too - because there is no absolute coordinate system in symmetric space. (No special point to start from, no special direction to follow, there is no even special moment of time to count from. Moreover, every moving observer will disagree with your space and your time - it all is different for different observers.
