Speed Of Space In A Black Hole

Since as Alexander points out, photons always have a local velocity of c, then the black hole event horizon where light cannot escape must occur because space is being absorbed by the black hole at the speed oflight at the event horizon. That is logical. But often simple logic does not work in exotic scenarios.
