Time must be finite, just like space, or there would have been an infinite amount time before the current time, which is impossible since it would imply an infinite dependency chain.
It can't be a closed loop or causality would be violated. There must be a beginning to time, the universe has an abrubt start, and most likely an end, and that's that!
