The singularity is the stuff of quantum gravity. If the string theorists have their way then Wheeler's quantum foam, where space and time are so choatic they lose their meaning, won't exist (what I mean is the solution will be finite). This is based on the Target Space Duality where the smallest dimension would be several magnitudes greater than the Planck length. Still nobody is sure of that. Just so far (within M-theory).
If you take these two forms of the rain metric I posted.
dt2=(1-2M/r)dt2rain-2(2M/r)1/2dtraindr-dr2-0 (made the tangential term zero instead of writing it out).
and
dt2=-[dr+{1+(2M/r)1/2}dtrain][dr-{1-(2M/r)1/2}dtrain]-0 (made the tangential term zero instead of writing it out).
If you set dr=0 then you get the result that the clock runs slower as you approach the event horizon r=2M but the clock runs faster as you go from the event horizon to the singularity with a negative sign in front of the time interval.
