how would u define a vacuum?????

then what particular material is spacetime made of.?????

plus i hav came to know from a web site that BOOMERANG---the telescope carrying suite of nasa....has made some recent observation related to the RELIC OF THE BIG BANG---the cosmic background radiation.............
and these observations predict that universe has an ever expanding geomwtry
which means that
its not that of a sphere like earth
not that of a hyperbola like that of pringle chips
infact it is FLAT!!!!!!!

NOW Q,S:
what do they mean when the universe is flat...does it mean euclidean geometry will revive now or what???????
what do u know abt these observations and conclusions?????
