what is 3/2? does this mean 3 over 2 as in division or what. and when you say orbital do you mean the electrons orbit around the nuclei? do you mean that the electron and the orbit of the electron are parallel? i am in a 100 level astro class and have yet to take physics1. i have taken chemistry up into organic chemistry but i do not recall the notation that you have explained other that the basic s,p,etc. orbitals. thanks i will try my best to follow you.
