I was taught that Maxwell's equations are consistent with the theory of relativity but that Feymann's QED- quantum electrodynamics- (by the way I attended Schwinger's lectures in the early 1960s) are needed interaction with electrons and that it is the most accurate physical theory in existence.

Virtual particles are integral to that theory. But I see no evidence of them in your posts. How do they fit in?
