This may be of interest here.

I spent the years 1961 thru 1966 in the Navy. Worked as an Electronics Technician. There was an incident once when we tracked on five different ships radars of what typically would be considered a UFO.

The object was picked up, followed on radar and then disappeared. The radars were long-range air search radars and gun and missile radars. All the senior officers including the ships captain observed what was going on.

I sat at a repeater counsel and watched the object myself. When this object disappeared, no comment or directive came from any of the senior officers as to what is was or could be.

Later on someone told me that it was quite possible that what we tracked on radar was the result of electronic warfare experiments.

I really don’t know the answer but I do know we tracked an object of immense size, traveling faster then three times the speed of sound over a distance of about forty miles.
