In GUT as I understand it, omega is not ratio of mass of FERMIONIC MATTER (electrons, protons, etc.) to mass of everything else (BOSONS: radiation of all kind, and FIELDS: mostly gravity itself), it is ratio of ALL MASS to so called CRITICAL MASS.

So, if you add mass of radiation back then wnel almost ALL mass was in radiation, you should get it balanced with ALL mass now. (We are talking about m=E/c^2 when it comes to bosons or fields).
