Consider this hypothesis. When an object is boosted to a higher energy state, its rate of time flow decreases. If a rocket moves at a given relative speed to an observer, its kinetic energy will be increased while the rate of time flow is decreased. If we move an object to a higher gravitational potential the rate of time flow also is decreased. For an object in free fall which effect would dominate? Decrease in time flow due to increased speed or increase in time flow due to a lower gravitational potential? Would the effects cancel out? |
