You might find some interesting ideas in a book first published in 1999 by Michael Crichton entitled Timeline. The paperback edition came out in Nov 2000. It's a time travel story that speculates on what might be possible if our current state of knowlege was augmented. The premise is that the interference found in Quantum Mechanics is a result of a quantum link to another universe and that by manipulating wave functions et cetera we can actually directly communicate with other points in space and time. And if we were smart enough, we could actually send people back in time. I found the story rather interesting. It might make a good movie. |
