I am not assuming that there is nothing the edge of the universe that which we can observe. I am saying that there is no edge to the universe in classical terms because the big bang which created the universe created space-time and created *existence.* There might be an edge to the universe in relativistic terms since we seem to have a cosmic speed limit (speed of light) but you can't speak of an "edge" then, just a beginning.
