I dont think that something which is between a white dwarf and a neutron star can exist. As i remember it was that indin scientist, Chandrasekhar, who proved that the limit for a dwarf is 1.4 solar masses. (I just dont remember whether it is the limmit for the star's mass BEFORE the explosion or for the exploded star's remnant, can you tell me?) If it's for example 1.5, then it must become a neutron star. |
