the speed of light is thought to be the highest because we cant achieve that speed, and we dont know what else can better that speed limit.

to say that gravitons travel faster than light is actually a misconcept...they dont travel faster than light, its just that light, photons, are affected by gravity and we dont know whether the EMF produced by photons affects the gravitons.
