OK... I followed, the shortening in length would be the difference in relative speeds (u) squared than subtracted from the first length (the one at rest)... so its kinda of similar to the twins paradox where upon turning around time really is lengthened and is this case distance really is shortened... I wish i would of drawn that parallel before.
Oh well, thanks, that actually helped alot, and don't worry about the drawing I could decipher what you meant.
