ah i got a pretty gd example to show it now...
picture your mug(cup)...and u pass ur hand over it...your hand WILL NOT FALL into the cup unless ur hand does less work to defy gravity...

similar to black holes...if a aircraft was flying past it and it gets sucked in...it means that the work that it is doing isnt enough to defy the pull of gravity from the black hole...which means that the black hole has a "fan" at the bottom of itself...suckin all the matter into the bottom and blowing it all over the place making it nothin...outta somethin...???
