The tether would have to have an infinite tensile strength or it would have to have an infinite cross sectional area....since neither is possible, the situation you discribe would call for a most deffinite snapping of the cord, or for the entire cord to be released and end up in the hole with the attached probe. you couldn`t pull it back out. |
