The empty space is known as dark matter. There are two theories called MACHOs and WIMPs. MACHOs is the idea that dark matter are things like brown dwarfs, black holes, halo objects, etc. WIMPs is a theory that involves small particles that have little effect on matter like neutrinos and leptons. Also, a universe with no matter is called a vacuum. |
